In Memory of Richard Marsh

05/23/1957 - 08/09/2025 from Indianapolis Indiana

Richard “Richie” Marsh, age 68, passed away on August 9, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on May 23, 1957, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Richie brought joy and laughter to those around him with his quick wit and ever-present sense of humor. Richie spent his career in the trucking industry, a path that suited his love for sightseeing and being on the open road. Whether behind the wheel or sharing stories from his travels, he found fulfillment in the freedom and adventure that came with the job. Music was more than a hobby for Richie—it was a lifelong passion. He devoted countless hours to writing songs, upgrading his stereo system to perfection, and playing his guitars. His love for music was matched only by his enjoyment of the outdoors. He could often be found fishing, playing dice, or simply soaking in nature’s beauty. Richie had a gift for lifting spirits. Known for always cracking jokes and bringing smiles to those around him, he had an uncanny ability to brighten even the darkest days. His presence was a source of comfort and laughter to many. He is survived by his loving partner Cathy; siblings Cricket, Helen, Kathy, Linda, Joe, and Kay; daughters Laura and Priscilla; grandchildren Nevaeh, Brooklyn, Nowlan, Nicholas, Aubrey, Carter, Justin Jr., Madison, and Alexis; great-grandchildren Ezekiel and Aria; nieces and nephews Terry, Mary, Less, Tony, Joy, Ashley, Tonya, Jacklyn, Shannon, Dusty, Justin, Larry, Jerry, Penny, Tammy, Scotty, Nae, KK, Cindy, and Tasha. Richie is reunited in rest with his parents, Richard K. Marsh and Lily Mae Cooper Marsh. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6th, 2025 to celebrate the life of Richard Marsh. May Richie's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to echo through every song played under an open sky.

Nae's Memory about Richard

A couple memories with Uncle Richie. When I was a freshman in high school he was my ride to and from school. He would drop me off and pick me up on his motorcycle. I will always remember hanging out with him and signing karaoke. I will definitely miss him and his encouragement.
