In Memory of Diane Ray

09/08/1952 - 04/04/2025 from St. Joseph MI

Fredia Diane Ray passed away on the morning of April 4, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born on September 8,1952. She grew up in both Missouri and Michigan before settling in Jonesboro, Arkansas later moving to Memphis, TN Diane had many loves. She always loved the state of Michigan. One of her favorite memories was the trip that she took with Lana to St Joseph. She would tell stories of when she was a child growing up there and how happy it made her that she got to go on this trip with someone she cared about deeply. She also loved bad disaster movies. One of her favorites was Night of the Twisters. She watched that movie until the tape wore out. She was also a HUGE Hallmark fan. She had her shows that she would watch and movies she could watch a million times but would never get tired of. One thing that she was proud of was that Jon got to be in one, even though she disliked the series it was a part of. She also loved supernatural. Every night when it was time for bed, she would always have it playing on the TV. She also had a love for theatre. She was always happy when she got to go and see Jon in shows. While living in Memphis she would go to see shows at Theatre Memphis. She loved getting to see Christmas Carol for the 2 years that she was in Memphis. She also love the outfits Mrs. Debbie wore. The most important thing to her was her family and friends. She was always happy when she was able to visit with Sylvia and have coffee on the back porch at Sylvias house. She loved the trips that she got to take to Iowa with Lana to see the family up there. She loved the times that she got to spend with Candella and Jesse and the times that they allowed her to stay with them on her visits. She was always so proud of Candella’s accomplishments and all she achieved. She loved her grandchildren Kethan and Draven. There is nothing that she wouldn’t do for them as kids, and she was always proud of the adults they became. When she became a great grandmother that was something she was so happy about. She loved the times that she spent with Iris, Mabel and Marri. The year that she went and stayed in Iowa and was able to help take care of the girls was one of her favorite memories. She loved getting to spend time talking to Brant. They could talk for hours about nothing, and it never got old. She also loved it when brant would make dinner because she loved his cooking. She was always happy to go and stay with him in Jonesboro and he made sure that she got the foods she missed from there. She was proud of Jon for being able to be the person he is. When he came out to her, she hugged him and told him no matter what she loved him. She always loved to see him in shows and was also happy when Jon and Daniel would take her with them to see shows. She was happy that Daniel would cook each night and that they would all sit down and have dinner together as a family. She held these memories close to her heart and now we have the memories of our time with her to carry with us. There will be a small visitation at Sue’s Kitchen, 1708 S. Caraway Rd., in Jonesboro Arkansas from 2-4. It is going to be very organic so if someone would like to speak about her they can but it will mostly be done for people together and share memories. Thank you
