In Memory of Edmund Orlowski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edmund J. Orlowski (April 13, 1940 – December 3, 2024), a lifelong resident of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. Eddie was born to Helen Wasilewski and Joseph Orlowski, who emigrated from Poland. He spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the Greenpoint community he deeply loved. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. One of Eddie’s favorite pastimes was walking. He spent countless hours getting in his steps around Greenpoint and throughout Manhattan. He also enjoyed strolls along Jones Beach, no matter the season. Edmund is survived by his two sisters, Jean Mersand and Lucy Brennan. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Orlowski. He leaves behind his nieces, Lisa Brennan, Amy-Jean Carlzon, Christina Ortiz, and Theresa Orlowski; his nephew, Eric Orlowski; and his great-nieces and great-nephews. Eddie will also be deeply missed by his great friends at the Pete McGuiness Older Adult Center, where he shared many cherished memories and special moments. His appreciation for his life was always evident. Details regarding the arrangements are not available.
