With family by his side at Oregon Health Science University hospital Ronald (Ron to family and friends) transitioned to his new home on June 23, 2024 after complications from cancer surgery. Ron was born at Memorial hospital in Vancouver, WA and lived most of his adolescent life in Camas, WA where he graduated from Camas High School in 1971. Ron was an avid golfer and member of Orchard Hills Golf and Country Club during his playing years. He loved taking golf trips with his brother and friends to Palm Springs, CA, Carmel, CA, Bend, OR and many other locations. In his latter life he lived in Redmond, OR and loved following Nascar and the Seattle Mariners. For the majority of his professional career Ron headed two businesses as General Manager of Packaging Services, Inc. located in Portland OR, Vancouver, WA and Washougal, WA as well as General Manager of Columbia Storage, Inc. in Vancouver, WA and Washougal, WA. He was a devoted leader making a 100% commitment to their success for over 28 years. Ron is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Geiner) Gallardo and grandsons Harrison and Nolan Gallardo, and daughter Samantha Andrews; his brother Ben (Rosemary) Andrews. We are grateful for all the nurses and doctors at OHSU who gave so much support and loving care in the last week of Ron’s life. And the sorrow expressed by so many has been an immense comfort to the family. There will be a private memorial service for family members at a date to be determined.
