David S. Brock was born December 2, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. He married Joan Brock on July 25th in Chatham, Massachusetts. Dave and Joan had one child, Susan Lynn, born on April 5th, 1963 in Akron, Ohio. Joan Brock passed away on June 18th, 1999 of cancer in Chatham, Massachusetts and was buried in Hartville, Ohio. Susan Brock married John Dondero on September 17th, 1994 in Chatham, Massachusetts and they have two children, Isabel and Nicholas both born in Jacksonville, Florida. David married Vicky Mosher Waugaman on April 14th, 2001 in St. Augustine, Florida. With that marriage, Dave inherited two "bonus" adult children and future grandchildren, Kevin Waugaman (married to Jessica with son Elliott and daughter Raelynn) and Chrystal Waugaman (son Zachary). Dave was filled with joy for life. Those who knew him describe him as playful, composed, warm, friendly, smart, handsome, and always a gentleman. He loved his family and friends with all his heart, and he had a special talent for capturing the attention and the hearts of his beloved grandchildren. And they had his heart too, whether it be celebrating accomplishments in school, sports, musical performances, the theatre, he was their biggest fan. Dave had an amazing sense of humor, and it is evident in the circle of comedians he and wife Vicky have cultivated as friends over their years together. They have an amazing group of friends that have been there through thick and thin, all with the utmost in character and concern for each other, which is a reflection on Dave and Vicky's character as well. When Dave wasn't firing off an appraisal with his business partner Jack Dewitt, he could be found involved in one of his many passions over the years: cooking (baked stuffed shrimp anyone?), traveling, reading, visiting with family and friends, golfing, playing tennis, walking on the beach with his dog, watching or listening to the Boston Celtics, Red Sox, or New England Patriots games. Also, he loved laughing and sharing jokes. Dave was a man of faith, a man of integrity, and as one friend put it, "The world needs more Dave Brocks."
