In Memory of John Rupert

07/01/1992 - 04/07/2023 from Portland, Maine, USA

John Leon Rupert, a beloved musician, former college and international basketball player, and political activist, was killed as the result of a botched FBI raid on his home in Scarborough, Maine. Born on July 1, 1992, John was known to some as Rupert but preferred to be called Zion. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his short, yet impactful time on this earth. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind. In his final days, John spoke passionately about the rapture, and his belief that our most divine human beings, like Mac Miller for example, were being called to repopulate a separate planetary star system. May Zion have peace in whichever constellation he was needed, as we remember and cherish the time we had with him, and the music he left behind. “Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
