It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I share this truth with you: David Lester Straight, a beacon of light and a fierce champion of freedom, passed away on April 1, 2025, at 10 PM CST in Arkansas. After a valiant battle with stage 4 cancer, diagnosed in September 2024, David’s earthly journey came to a close, leaving behind a legacy that will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched. Born on April 20, 1963, in California, David’s roots stretched deep into Bend, Oregon, though he chose Arkansas as his final resting place, where he will be laid to rest in a small, private burial surrounded by love. David was a father and grandfather to many—some bound by blood, and countless others “adopted” into his ever-expanding family through his boundless compassion and unwavering dedication. He was a mighty warrior, a guiding force in the Great Awakening, tirelessly revealing the corruption woven into the system we were born into. His passion burned brightly as he devoted his life to teaching others how to break free, to restoring the Republic, and to rescuing children from the horrors of trafficking. Through his words and actions, he planted seeds of truth and righteousness that will continue to grow long after his departure. Though David is now at peace, released from the pain that shadowed his final months, his spirit remains a powerful presence. His legacy lives on in the families he saved, the minds he awakened, and the hearts he inspired to pursue a life of unity, love, and liberty. We, his fellow freedom-fighting warriors, will carry the torch he lit, honoring his vision with every step we take toward a liberated tomorrow. Rest well, David. We love you always. ****Updated 11/10/2025***** During the Celebration of Life for David Straight, I had prepared a list of items to mention about David, but I was too nervous to look down at the list I had prepared, and I completely forgot to mention them. I regret not sharing them, so I am sharing them now... 1. David loved mango-habanero flavored frozen yogurt. One day, I told him and Bonnie I had just gotten a frozen yogurt of that flavor, and he said that was his favorite! 2. Every day, David made sure to log into the computer game his autistic son made. He said that if he didn't log in once a day to play, his son would get upset, so he made it a point to ALWAYS log in to play. Apparently, his son could see if he played it or not. This breaks my heart because David will no longer be able to log in to play that game. 💔 3. Mango story- David asked me once if I knew what the fruit was on the forbidden tree that Eve ate from and gave to Adam? Of course, my response was that no one knows what type of fruit it was because the Bible doesn't say. David then told me it was a mango tree because Adam took a bite and then man-goes (mangos) 😆 4. David did not like quick prayers before he ate. There were times that I was in a rush to eat, so I would set the food on the table, and quickly say, "Let's pray," and proceed to say a quick prayer. David told me a couple of times that he didn’t like that... to slow down and let us prepare to bow our heads to pray. 🙏 5. David taught me that one of the most difficult things to do as a public speaker is to slow down when speaking. I told him that I get nervous and just speak super fast because I'm nervous, and if I slow down, I am afraid that I will forget my point. He told me that I must master the ability of slowing down without losing my train of thought... that this is what all great speakers learn to overcome. 6. One night, David and I were standing in the pasture looking up at the stars. He was telling me of the times orbs had shown up in the sky and followed him. As he was telling me about the incredible orb experiences, I mentioned that the dirt beneath my bare feet was really soft. He told me that usually when the ground is soft that it's an ant bed. Sure enough, when we shone the flashlight down at my feet, I was standing on an ant mound! There were ants there, but not a single one bit me! 7. David's favorite drink at restaurants was unsweetened tea and honey. During and after seminars, we would have lunch and dinner with attendees at restaurants, and there were always a handful who would order their tea just like David. :) They wanted to drink what David drank. 8. One time, Bonnie had a New Year's Eve party at their office. That's when I learned that David could dance! WOW! I was blown away by how good he did the Arm Wave dance move and robot. LOL 9. David was truly a giver, not a taker. I witnessed him give away so much financially to help others. One time, he told me that he had to make more money so he could help more people. There were times he gave families safe housing in their office, and when their office was too full, he and Bonnie even welcomed a family to live in their home... a family they didn't even know. He taught me how to give like that of a pure heart, expecting nothing in return. 10. The one thing I loved and admired about DLS, yet would get annoyed by it too, was that he had no boundaries with people. He loved people so much and would constantly forgive them when they betrayed him. The thing that I loved was his heart towards those, that he would talk to them, give them another chance, but the thing I didn't like was how he would get hurt again by the same person who had betrayed him, and he had forgiven multiple times. He truly loved others the way Jesus taught us to. 11. One of David’s all-time favorite movies was Captain Fantastic I miss David so much. He was such a blessing to me and others. There will never be another David Straight.
